Explore 1418 Coffee - Garland

If you’re ever in Garland, Texas, I always like to point people toward 1418 Coffee - Garland, a spot that quietly stands out as more than just a coffee shop. Tucked inside a church building, it has a bit of that “hidden gem” feel the first time you walk in, but once you’re there, it opens up into a surprisingly spacious and inviting environment. There’s plenty of seating-everything from cozy sofas to work-friendly desks-making it ideal whether you’re catching up with friends, studying, or settling in for a few hours of focused work. The atmosphere leans toward mellow lighting and a calm, slightly dim vibe, which gives it a relaxed, almost retreat-like quality compared to louder cafés. What really makes the place memorable, though, is the people; the staff manage to strike that rare balance of being both professional and genuinely warm, often engaging in easy, friendly conversation that makes even quieter visitors feel comfortable. On the menu side, their coffee is a highlight, especially drinks like the caramel macchiato, which actually delivers a rich, noticeable caramel flavor without being overly heavy. Pair that with a brownie or a slice of pumpkin bread, and you’ve got a simple but satisfying treat. It’s also worth noting that the space can get a bit busier on Sunday mornings due to its location, but the overall experience-comfortable seating, thoughtful ambiance, and consistently good drinks-makes it a place people tend to return to again and again.

You can NOT compare to the atmosphere. This cute little coffee bar is right inside Spring Creek Church in Garland. The coffee is quite the perfect treat to put a little pep in your step before you begin your week with a little Jesus and worship with an amazing group of people. The muffins & breakfast burritos are a solid choice if you want breakfast before or after early service. (I'm not sure what time they take their last orders.)

My go-to coffee place and location. The staff are professional yet warm. I’m a pretty shy person but it’s always a great chitchat with them. Ambiance is great. It’s inside a church building so if you go on a Sunday in the morning the wait is a bit longer. LOTS of seating and open space. Tables, sofas, and desks. Super cozy. Much more room than the Plano location. Coffee is my favorite. Caramel macchiato that you can actually taste the caramel. It’s also kinda tastes like sweet cream but they use whole milk. It’s the perfect blend of full body but not too decadent. I also love their brownies and pumpkin bread. There absolutely nothing bad I can think of about this place. They are great

Great food, coffee & people. The best and most relaxed space to work from, the mellow lighting and quiet atmosphere is soo great to walk into everyday to work.

Love the workers and love the furniture/environment. Thankful there’s a quiet and cozy place on weekdays to stop and get some work done. Any chance I get I tell my friends that work in the area about this spot. Only feedback I have is regarding the reward system. I come in a few times a week and get a coffee and add a 10% tip so my total is something like $2.70. Unfortunately, that’s below the minimum purchase amount to count towards the reward system. Not a big deal because they offer one free refill on drip coffee during the same visit but figured I should contribute some sort of feedback to help David and the team. Love what y’all are doing!

Sort of a hidden-gem. 14|18 coffee is a great place to work, talk and, study. I particularly enjoyed the environment where it’s somewhat darker and not too distracting. The seats are super comfy, and the barista was super sweet and wholesome calling people “friend.”

Husband and I are visiting from out of state and are used to your typical Dunkin’ Donuts! The quiet and cozy atmosphere was inviting. The ladies at the cafe counter were extremely pleasant, welcoming and helpful with deciding what coffee would be the best choice based on our preferences. I got a cafe au lait and my husband got a modified caramel macchiato and it was two of the best coffees we’ve ever had.

One of the coziest places to read, study, work on my laptop, or talk with a friend. The iconic purple haze lavender drink is a go-to. I’d rather hang here than a Starbucks any day!
